The Suite Life: The Old Newberry Hotel Offers Short-Term Rentals

It’s taken some time, but Newberry has slowly become a destination, not a stop along the way of a journey. With the Opera House regularly featuring internationally renowned talent, several fine dining institutions offering gourmet fare, quaint shops offering unique goods, big industries like Komatsu and Samsung drawing business travelers, and parents wanting to visit their kids at Newberry College, there are many reasons a person—perhaps even a local—may decide to just book an apartment and kick around downtown for a few days.

For those hoping to keep things quaint and authentic but not willing to give up modern conveniences, the Old Newberry Hotel is now offering short-term rentals. Each with a kitchen, separate living and bedrooms, and even laundry area (washer/dryer) these rentals offer everything a person could need in downtown’s most central location—right off the square.

Established in 1879 and renovated this year, the Old Newberry Hotel offers several private event rooms for weddings, parties and other events that involve dining, dancing and conversation. Renting a furnished, short-term apartment is the perfect and logical compliment to any downtown adventure and ensures ease, convenience and fun.

The short-term rental units feature the original (from 1879) hardwood floors, 12 foot ceilings, plush area rugs, cozy sitting areas, fireplaces, modern baths, downtown views, and a blend of modern and antique furniture and art. The juxtaposition of new and old décor styles create an authentic-yet-luxe experience.

These short-term rentals are available for as few as two nights and as long as three months. They come fully equipped with linens, towels, dishes, and everything a person would need for a comfortable stay, including free wifi and cable TV.

Whether you’re having a large family gathering or need extra space for Newberry College football games, graduations, weddings, or any special event, a short-term rental in the center of downtown Newberry ensures that family and friends will be comfortable, happy and have easy access to all that downtown Newberry has to offer.
